I've always been plagued by migraines, but they usually creep up on me maybe once a year. Starting in June, they have been occurring more and more frequently. Before I start feeling like I've recovered from one, there's another one knocking me out. After two right in a row this week, I decided it was time to head to the doctor. I joked about having a tumor or something, but really it does make me nervous!
My appointment was today and I ended up walking out with three new prescriptions. A new medication to help prevent migraines has recently been released and the doctor suggested I try it out. It's a pill I take everyday, but I'm willing to try anything to stop the insanity! So for now, no MRIs or any other testing until I see how things work out with this new medicine.

It must run in our family because I get them, too. It starts out by seeing the flashing light aura thingys and it all goes down hill from there. Hopefully your new meds will work for you!!!
Oh man, I am right there with you! Mine has been with me since SUNDAY!!! I swear I am dying. What do I do??
Yikes! Good luck with that! I (knock on wood) have never had one but Jar gets them occassionally.
Wow, I have some inkling of what that's like...I get bad headaches every once in awhile and went to see the doctor early last year. Luckily they didn't find anything, and they've been better since then--I'll still get a bad one every other week, but on the whole I'm okay. I hope that happens for you! Headaches are killer, and I definitely can sympathize!
